HONNE FOR CLAUDE

Run your research from a conversation.

Connect Claude to Honne to read what testers said, build and publish studies, and run persona panels without switching tabs.

You need a Honne account. Claude only sees the workspaces you belong to, with your own permissions.

Connect

Claude on the web, Desktop and mobile

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Honne from the directory. If it isn't listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector and paste the connector URL above.
  2. Select Connect. Claude opens Honne in your browser.
  3. Sign in to Honne if asked. Check the approval screen: it should say you'll be sent back to claude.ai. Then select Allow.

Claude Code

Then run /mcpin Claude Code and pick Honne to sign in. The approval screen will say it's an app on your computer.

What Claude can do

Read

Claude can run these without asking each time.

  • list_workspaces

    The Honne workspaces you belong to.

  • list_studies

    Studies in a workspace, newest first.

  • get_study

    A study’s settings, sections and participant tasks.

  • get_study_results

    Session totals and recent sessions with answers and transcripts.

  • get_study_insights

    Insight themes with supporting quotes.

  • get_study_report

    The latest research report.

  • list_personas

    Your workspace personas and what their research was built from.

  • get_persona_panel

    A study’s design versions, panel runs and the ranked Fix-next issues.

Build and run

These change your workspace, so Claude asks you to confirm each one.

  • create_study

    Create a draft study.

  • update_study

    Change a study’s name, copy, session cap or AI brief.

  • set_study_status

    Publish, close or unpublish a study. Publishing runs the same checks as the app.

  • add_section

    Add a section with its participant task and settings.

  • update_section

    Edit a section’s task, AI moderation or settings.

  • generate_report

    Generate the research report (uses AI credits).

  • generate_personas

    Research your customers once and propose your workspace personas.

  • set_persona_status

    Approve or archive a persona for every study.

    Create a design version to test.

    Add screens to a version from image links.

    Run your approved personas through a design.

    Have personas compare two designs.

Claude can't delete studies, sections, personas or designs.

Permissions and data

  • Claude acts as you. It can reach exactly what you can in Honne, and nothing in workspaces you don't belong to.
  • Honne sends Claude only what a request needs, such as one study's results. Long transcripts are shortened.
  • Participant answers are written by members of the public. Honne labels them as research data so Claude doesn't treat anything inside them as an instruction.
  • Plan limits, publishing checks and AI session quotas work the same as in the app.
  • Our privacy policy covers how Honne stores and processes your data.

Disconnect

In Honne, open Settings, then Profile, then Connected apps, and select Disconnect next to Claude. Access stops straight away. You can also remove the connector in Claude's settings.

Troubleshooting

  • “This connection link can't be used”: the sign-in link expired. Start connecting again from Claude.
  • Claude says a study wasn't found: ask it to list your workspaces and studies first, and check you're a member of that workspace.
  • “Too many requests”: wait a minute. AI-heavy actions are limited to a few per minute.
