TL;DR

Your account
When you sign up, you're agreeing to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, your team. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what happens under your account.
If you're signing up on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms. [LAWYER REVIEW: confirm clickwrap acceptance flow meets contract-formation bar.]
Acceptable use
Honne is for real research. Don't use it for:
- Anything illegal under the law of where you or your participants live
- Harassing, doxxing, or threatening participants or other users
- Deceptive PII harvesting dressed up as a study — if you're collecting personal data, participants need to know what you're collecting and why
- Circumventing our rate limits or abuse protections
- Automated scraping of other workspaces' data
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that break these rules, with notice when possible and without notice when harm is ongoing. [LAWYER REVIEW: confirm suspension procedures and notice rules.]
Your content and who owns it
Participants own their responses. Researchers own their studies. Honne gets a narrow license to process your content — only for the purpose of operating the service and providing it back to you.
We don't claim ownership of your research. We don't train foundation models on your data. We don't repurpose it for other customers. [LAWYER REVIEW: finalize exact license scope (sublicense, affiliates, etc.).]
Billing and refunds
Honne is free during beta. Once paid plans launch, we'll update this section with pricing, invoicing, and refund rules before any charges begin. If you're mid-beta when we introduce paid plans, you'll have at least 30 days to decide before anything moves behind a paywall. Service availability
We try hard to keep Honne up, but we don't promise zero downtime. We schedule maintenance outside North American business hours when possible and post status at status.honne.app.

Liability and disclaimers
Honne is provided as-is while in beta. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you've paid us in the prior twelve months — which, during beta, is zero. Termination
You can close your account at any time from workspace settings. We'll keep your data for 30 days afterward in case you come back, then delete it per the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

Governing law
